Asbestos removal is a problem that public schools all across the state are currently dealing with. In accordance with the Federal Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act, an inspection and review have been completed in the Salt Fork School system. A report has been prepared on the assessment and response action plan to reduce exposure to asbestos fibers. Copies of the plan are located in the superintendent’s office.
The plan is available to the public for inspection without cost or restriction within five working days after receiving a written request for inspection. Hours of availability and a copy of the form, "Request for Inspection of Management Plan”, will be provided upon request. Should a request be made for a copy of the report, the school district is allowed to charge a reasonable fee to make copies of the plan.
